What is PetroChallenge?

Hands-on educational event that allow students to gain insight into the decision-making process of oil and gas companies by utilizing the OilSim simulator. Students work as a team in a competition setting to explore and make decisions throughout the entire exploration and production business process.

When is PetroChallenge?

Friday, January 19th: 2:30 - 8 pm
Saturday, January 20th: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
RMC - Farnsworth Pavilion

Here is your opportunity to not only gain decision-making insight but to interact with other students with similar interest. You will also get the chance to meet university personnel and engage with potential future employers.

Also...free food! Cash prize for the winning team! Network with industry executives and gain valuable team collaboration experience.

A limited number of participants will be accepted for this event so registration confirmation is on a first come, first serve basis. If registration is full, you will be wait-listed and then contacted if a space becomes available. Participants are required to attend both days of the event.

Upon arriving at the event, you will be placed on a multi-disciplinary team with at least two other students. It is recommended that you bring a laptop.
